Due to falling revenues from COVID19 we have regretfully taken the decision to close our bakery and shop at Jane St until end of June. This will give us time to plan strategy going forward.
We’d like to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported us over the years, and hope to see you again soon.

HiI was sad to hear the business may be closing. I get my bread fortnightly via EastCoast Organics and thru Real Foods and value your products highly.Have you considered –
1 asking such regular customers to increase their order
2 raising prices
3 crowdfunding
A nomination for the BBC Food and Farming Awards could also bring in new customers
I make organic bread at home but I still welcome my fortnightly order
According to EastCoast Organics there simply isn’t another Organic supplier out there!
Kind Regards
Howard Okely
Disappointed/sad to hear you’re closing temporarily.
Hope you’re all well and will be back soon.
Please email me when you’re back as it’s hard to live without Borodinsky. I live in Fife so normally buy from Pillars of Hercules. Hugs Ele x
I do hope you can continue, your bread is definitely the best. I second the other comments below.
Good luck, Katharine
Hi Breadshare team,
Sad to learn of your – hopefully temporary – closure. I hope you will find a way to resume business. I was surprised to learn you were in difficulty as I had the impression you were a real success story. You were certainly “on trend” with your commitment to real bread combined with social enterprise. Your Borodinsky bread (and the sourdough cob too) was simply stunning, so full of flavour, “proper” bread. I will miss it. I would be happy to commit to a regular order, if that is a factor in your decision-making. Would you consider linking up with a delivery service that could provide you with a wider market than only the centre of Edinburgh? Say, Lothians and Fife?
All the best,
Stefan
Now I am ready
to do my breakfast, once having my breakfast coming again to read
further news.
Any updates?
Hope you are well and found a way of going on with your lovely bakery. We were so happy we found you in May. All the best!
