Organic Flour Feasibility Study Report Delivered

In February 2013, Breadshare commenced a Scottish Borders LEADER funded project to look at the feasibility of establishing a collaborative supply chain using organic Scottish wheat for bread making and as a product for the home consumer. The aim was to bring together producers, millers and potential wholesalers, distributors and retailers to assist us look at whether it is feasible to establish a long-term and reliable supply of local wheat and flour.

The final feasibility report has been delivered and recommended that an artisan mill be established in the local area to produce flours from locally grown grains and pulses.
